☕ Over a Cup of Coffee with a Hero — an open and honest conversation
On October 1, a meeting between young people and a veteran took place at the KOD Molodi Youth Space.
The event brought together young people aged 13–25. Together, we talked about military service, personal experiences, returning to civilian life, and the challenges veterans may face.
It was not a lecture or a formal interview. Participants had the opportunity to ask their own questions, hear a personal story, and gain a better understanding of veterans’ experiences.
💬 What did we take away from the meeting?
— the importance of talking about veterans’ experiences openly and respectfully;
— not being afraid to ask questions when they truly matter;
— behind every story is a person, their experiences, and their own journey;
— mutual understanding begins with being willing to listen to one another.
